New life

IMG_7147

Kelsey and Zach came to visit and stayed with us for 5 wonderful days.  It's always fun to spend time with them, but I have to say that one of the highlights of this particular trip was seeing our sweet daughter very pregnant with our grandbaby.   And honestly, not just seeing, but feeling this precious child!  This little baby girl that is now about 7 weeks from making her entrance, is active and alive and moving and growing . . . Wow!  It's amazing to watch the process of life that God has set into place.

"For You did form my inward parts; You did knit me together in my mother's womb.  My frame was not hidden from You when I was being formed in secret and intricately and curiously wrought (as if embroidered with various colors) in the depths of the earth (a region of darkness and mystery).  Your eyes saw my unformed substance, and in Your book all the days of my life were written before ever they took shape, when as yet there was none of them." (Psalm 139:13, 15, 16, Amplified)

Dick's parents came down from Ohio to spend some time with us as well.  How sweet it was to have us all together.

4 generations of women in our family (when you count Baby Bohler)
While Kelsey and Zach were with us, we had a baby shower to celebrate with many friends.  God has blessed us with so many godly women who care about and have invested in our family through the years.

The guys also had some time to enjoy each other ~ playing golf and watching the World Cup soccer matches.

7 weeks to go . . .
We're praying for safe, easy-as-possible delivery.
I'm praying I'll get there in time for the birth (flying out 4 days before actual due date).
Mostly, we're trusting God for every detail . . . knowing He is creating and forming and putting the finishing touches on this precious little one!   And He has great purpose for her life.

Can't wait to welcome our first grandchild into our world!

  1. Dick and Mel,

Oh, what a blessing! Being grandparents is such a wonderful experience. I can already tell you both will fill that role beautifully!

    Much love,
